Worry Free Warranty We offer a standard 6-month free warranty on all qualifying drivetrain, including engines, transmissions, and axles. Our used engines and transmissions come with a 180-day warranty under normal driving conditions, covering issues such as engine knock, excessive smoke, oil consumption. This limited warranty becomes void if the engine, transmission, or rear-end is disassembled prior to our inspection. Please note that carburetors, distributors, water pumps, fuel pumps, fuel distributors, and air mass sensors are not covered. The warranty only applies to the long components and cylinder head. Engines and transmissions are not covered unless seals are replaced during installation. Additionally, the warranty will be void if the radiator is not functioning properly or if the thermostat is not replaced. It's essential to use new oil and filters during installation, and oil changes must occur every 4,000 miles with proof from a licensed technician Parts returned as "run hot" will not be covered by the warranty, and all identifying marks from GREEN STAR AUTO RECYCLERS (GSAR) must remain on any returned parts. Please note that the warranty is non-transferable to any other party.
What this means for you All parts under our standard 6 month warranty are covered for full replacement or refund upon diagnoses of internal failure not of the customers control or responsibility. Parts that fall under our 3 month warranty are still protected by the same standards and have additional coverages that can be purchased for an additional percentage cost. Labor warranties are also available. 2010 and older vintage parts will only be warrantied for 3 months (we will use the latest vintage of the parts fitment to determine vintage and coverage) These parts can have an additional 3 months of warranty coverage added on for 18% of the parts purchase price. Parts of a 2011 and newer vintage have additional coverage options for up to 2 years beginning on the date of purchase. Labor warranty coverage covers the cost of installation based off of Michelin book time the industry standard for quoting repair times. Our labor warranty can be purchased in increments of $50 for every $250 dollars in labor up to 70% of the parts purchase price. Our labor warranty covers up to $35 an hour in labor costs.
